Adoptable Cats: Text
Sparky - **KC Longest Resident**
1.5yrs old Spayed female - Currently in In Foster Care
Sparky has been at our shelter 9 months now and is just a year and a half.
Being our longest resident, her adoption has been generously sponsored by community member so her adoption fee is now only $30!
Sparky can be a bit shy at first but soaks up the gentle love once she gets comfortable with you.
She is very slight in stature but big on purrrrrs and her favorite thing is to be a lap cat.
In her foster home, she is doing just that! She is on her foster momma's knee anytime she can.
Sparky really blossoms in a home she feels comfortable in.
She has really started to play in her foster home and loves tin foil balls so, she can be found playing soccer with them all over the house.
Sparky can be intimidated/stressed by other cats and will need time to adjust into a new home if there are other pets around.
She will thrive in a quiet home with consistency and routine.
Sparky is a sweet little beauty that just needs some patience and understanding.
I mean, don't we all??
She is waiting for her second chance and an accepting, new, and furever home.
She most certainly deserves it as she is a very loving and loyal little friend; she has so much love to give!!
If you are interested in adoption and would like a private meet & greet session, please give us a call at (306)228-2132 to set up a time that is convenient for you! (We prefer 24-48 hours notice if possible).

Wiley - 5yr old neutered male
Having good company can make a huge difference in how we feel day-to-day.
Look no further!
Wiley is a sweet, gentle character and a chatty pants.
He is very well behaved and is looking for his true love.
If you want a handsome Valentine who will shower you with affection, Wiley is your man.
He is a great listener but will also chat back with you, as he is a great conversationalist.
Wiley loves to sit on your lap, or beside you, lay beside you in bed and inquisitively follow you around.
You will never feel alone while Wiley is by your side.
He is pretty spry and loves to play in spurts, get brushed and ask for belly rubs.
Wiley is a true charming gentleman looking for love and companionship.
He will do best in a quieter home with no other pets. Although, he is starting to get used to having other cats around. So maybe a docile pet he could get used to?
He is very loyal and thrives on your togetherness.

Emery - 2 year old spayed female
Emery is roughly two years old and potentially the momma to a couple/few of the black/white kittens adopted out in 2024.
Emery can be a bit shy but wants affection. She loves belly rubs and pets.
She is a regal beauty no doubt!
We don't know much about her first couple years of life but, we would sure love to find her a loving home that she can call her own and never have to worry about the stray life again.
One she can also focus on her own comfort, no more litters of kittens to try and feed.
She is absolutely stunning and such a sweet lovely lady.
Emery is ready to spread her love to her furever folks.
They will be lucky to have her.

Cypress
1yr old neutered male
hese photos certainly do not represent poor Cypress in all his glory but let them serve as his "before" pictures.
Just like Emery and even Sylvester before him, we have no doubt this emaciated feline will be as spectacular on the outside as he is on the inside, very soon.
As you can see he came to us malnourished and with a painful eye condition that has since started to clear up nicely.
Despite that, he is a darling!!!
Such a very gentle and quiet disposition Cypress has, and all he wants is your love.
He loves affection but, I have not even heard him meow yet.
Even though he gets very excited to receive pets, so far he is a very quiet and chill cat.
In the coming weeks (if he is at the shelter that long), he will get extra special attention and meals to bring out that glorious fluff and regal demeanor that he no doubt has under the stray exterior.
He is stray no more.
Stay tuned and watch this sweethearts progress.
If you are interested in meeting Cypress, check out our upcoming open houses or contact KC Rescue today for a private viewing by calling (306)-228-2132 (does not receive text messages).
Also fill out an application form on our website.

Kittens are better with a friend!
There are several reasons to adopt two kittens, including:
Socialization
Kittens learn how to behave socially from other cats and are better adjusted. They learn how to play gently with people and save their playfulness for their sibling.
Health
Kittens that are raised in pairs are more likely to be healthier and live longer. They exercise with each other and are less likely to become overweight.
Entertainment
Kittens are entertaining and can keep each other busy. They can entertain themselves with you as the observer during the day.
Comfort
Kittens can soothe each other by grooming and cuddling together. They can also provide comfort when stressful changes occur in the home.
Save lives
Adopting two kittens instead of one can help free up space in overcrowded shelters.
Prevent unwanted behaviors
Kittens raised without other cats may develop behaviors like rough play, excessive attachment to humans, and destructive behaviors. This is known as single kitten syndrome.

Deadpool and Wolverine
6 month old neutered matching brothers
You really have to look close to see who is who with these two.
You spot the differences.
Deadpool has a thicker outline around his ears and a longer white horizontal line under his ears.
Also a plain clear M on his forehead too.
Wolverine has a special tell tale M on his forehead that looks like more of a heart beat line than a plain M.
Both front and back feet have white socks on and white chest bibs, so boy they can be hard to tell apart.
Deadpool and Wolverine are very much alike personality wise too.
They’re both goofy, love to play and don't take much seriously..
Deadpool and Wolverine spend the most time together and are a pretty bonded pair.
Seems pretty fair when they are so much alike. They really do compliment each other well.
Wolverine can be a bit braver and more friendly right off the bat but Deadpool is sure to follow in no time.
They both absolutely love cuddles, but on their terms.
This dynamic duo entertains themselves in "go" mode until they crash and settle into "snuggle" mode.
Just like most other kittens.
It would be pretty cool to have matching superhero kittens no?

Hurley
6 month old neutered male
As you can see, Hurley had a rough winter.
He lost his ears due being outside as a stray in those extremely cold days.
Despite that, he is so very loving, affectionate and sweet.
The first picture of him holding a toy mouse we gave him is a precious one.
Seemingly his first toy ever, he was smiling and very excited.
How could he not melt your heart??
After he had treats, he gave me loving kisses.
Just so thankful to be rescued, warm and safe.
He loves to be held, snuggle and now play.
We hope he finds his furever home quickly, and he realizes that he will never be cold or lonely again.
